Key Responsibilities
• Assessment of existing value chains that have the potential to be sustainable with all the target communities in the three districts
• Through existing strictures, strengthen the production of both crop, livestock and small animals to increase food access
• Through existing structures, develop the extension system that is sustainable and meets the needs of the target households

• Support the establishment of demo plots in all target hubs and Villages

Key Responsibilities:
ï‚§ Provide extension services to 17, 000 beneficiaries in crop and livestock production and management amongst smallholder farmers in rural communities through lead, contact farmer, para-vet models in crop production, livestock management, post-harvest, conservation agriculture, climate change, wetland use and fish farming using integrated and graduation approach.
ï‚§ Community Mobilization, sensitization and formation of 375 Livelihood Enhance Groups, smallholder farmers into Producer Groups to enhance production of identified commodities with average membership of 45per group.
ï‚§ Promote best practice technologies to produce specific agriculture products which have potential to increase share in the market such as post-harvest, conservation agriculture, climate change, wetland use.
ï‚§ Carrying out extensive field visits to programme operational areas to offer on spot technical support to the smallholder farmers on agriculture development related topics,
ï‚§ Training lead farmers and smallholder farmers in various sustainable agriculture techniques.
ï‚§ Writing and submit activity reports on a regular and timely basis, supported M & E in Carrying out Assessments, development monitoring tools, logic frame works and SOPs.
ï‚§ Promoting soil fertility management and conservation practices for smallholder farmers,
ï‚§ Mainstreaming HIV/AIDS in smallholder agriculture will be an added advantage,
ï‚§ Supported Enterprise facilitator in formation and Monitoring of 150 ASCAS, 3 financial Associations, produce aggregation for marketing and market linkages.
ï‚§ Supported the nutrition facilitator in the identification, selection of Mother to Mother (M2M) support groups, Infant young feeding (IYCF) and Total Sanitation (CLTs) champions, monitoring their activities and development of their Massages
ï‚§ Demonstrate strong facilitation skills in partnership linkages between; District Coordinators of their respective districts, Business facilitators within the IALDP programme and UNHCR, Camp Extension Officers under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, External stakeholders including government departments.
ï‚§ Took lead in Research areas of conservation agriculture, climate change, wetland use through trial demo establishment, managements, monitoring and data collection, analysis and presentation. Training champions, formation and monitoring of village and wards committees.Area of Responsibility:
